Today we hit the grocery store again...good ol' Carrefour. I'm slowly learning to detest grocery shopping . . . well, I didn't like it much in the US either but it was a necessary evil and I had it down to a routine and a science. I had my grocery app on my phone and things laid out in the order I go in HEB. Here, since I'm still a bit unfamiliar with where things are and WHAT things are, shopping takes forever. I hate not being able to zip in and zip out. I hate looking at meat and wondering what kind of meat it is or what slice of meat am I looking at. Probably should've studied animals a little bit more but then that brings me back to that little tiny person on my shoulder who says 'be a vegetarian!'. I digress . . . shopping here is cumbersome . . . no Costco and everything comes in such small quantities. I don't think I've seen a gallon of milk yet . . . only quarts and maybe 1/2 gal. They probably thought I was nuts today when I bought 5 containers of it (apparently the New Zealand milk I buy does not require refrigeration).
Our stuff arrived and most arrived fine; minus a missing piece to a bed, which unfortunately does not allow the bed to be set up without that piece. So, begins the journey of hunting this piece down through IKEA and I'm having a feeling that they'll just have to foot the cost for another bed as this piece can't be bought or found.
I've unpacked most of the kitchen and all of Eva's room. Only 90% more to go! I'll probably finish by the time we move. So far the oddest thing they packed was a slowly deflating balloon. Can't believe it survived the heat in the container and made it here with still air in it.
