Mini adventures

Well not much happening on the home front. One billion boxes and just
100,000 to go.

Today i took a break from boxes and we ventured out to try the free
shuttle bus that takes you to Carrefour (grocery store). Good
adventure despite hailing down one wrong bus and running to catch the
right one, in 90 degree weather with Eva in a baby Bjorn. The bad
thing about shopping here w/no car is lugging home what you buy. If
you take a taxi, no prob. Bus on the other hand, drops ya off not far
from home but makes you regret buying the 2 half gallons of juice and
4 quarts of milk, while carrying said sweaty baby on chest. It has
also helped me not buy any Diet Coke. A good method of
dieting...lugging what you want to eat...not so tasty anymore.

Last week my brother and I took the kids to Pearl Tower...the tallest
building in Shanghai (I think). I think its on our postcard of info
if you have one. Anyway, you can go all the way up. We only went half
way up & you can see Shanghai in 360 degrees. There's also one floor
that is all glass and you can step on it and look down. It is
absolutely weird and crazy to look down and see through the floor -
your brain goes "uh-oh" to say the least. Below is a pic of Ella
standing and maybe you can see the floor under her is all glass and
you see the ground below. Let's just say I was the designated
photographer bc that was all my stomach could handle.
