McDonalds

So we have been here just over three weeks and once a week I seem to
crave American food. Today we ventured to Mickey Ds and I usually
balk but was happy to go. Pretty much the same food except you can
order a side of corn in place of fries, taro instead of apple pies, &
they had wings. Apparently the kids craved the food too because my
little Ella ate 9 chicken nuggets; Emily had a cheeseburger an a
nugget, & Stephen ate maybe 12-15 nuggets! All ate their fries to
boot!

As we sat down with our food, Sammy said, "Let the freak show begin!"
and he was right. Got the usual stares. One man was eating with his
maybe 4 yr old son and asked how old Eva was. When we told him, he
chuckled in amazement because here, kids that young don't usually eat
on their own (Eva was eating a nugget & fries), so he figured we were
not from here.

Mickey Ds is a bit cheaper here too...an adult chicken sandwich with
fries and a coke was just over $3. As fun as it was, it was quite
difficult to order in Chinese. Luckily the employee spoke
English...found that amusing as I bet quite a few Americans are drawn
there.

Did the kids use any Chinese McNugget sauces?

Ha! No, I'm not entirely sure, but the only sauce they gave out was . . . you guessed it 'sweet and sour'.
