Easter in Shanghai

Finally got VPN up and running again!

It's 76 degrees outside and very muggy.  I'm wearing a workout tank and capri workout pants.  This morning as I waited outside the compound for a taxi, an elderly man slowly walked past me.  I noticed he paused near me but I was texting or something so I didn't look up (just saw his legs out of my peripheral vision).  Sammy, who was nearby, said the old man, paused and looked me up and down with a quizzical look ...probably like, "Why in the world is she wearing so little clothing???"  Later the garbage lady came by the house as I sat outside and said I was wearing such a little amount of clothing.  She said the guards say that I must be 'very healthy' to wear such little clothing.  I love that the amount of clothing you wear is analogous to how healthy you are!  So if I wear a bikini . . .

Yesterday was Easter Sunday.  In many years past we have always done Easter at various friends' houses.  So we reminisced of old ones and did our own celebration this year.  We met up with friends on Saturday for brunch and then we had our own Easter egg hunt at home on Sunday.  The brunch on Saturday also included an Easter egg hunt but they were bright foil-covered chocolate eggs not plastic eggs.  Eva figured out how to peel the foil and ate a chocolate egg . . .

I have much more to write . . . Eva's latest bad habit of asking strangers to pick her up, our latest mode of transportation, and a store that makes custom purses for like $30 (whoo hoo!) . . . but no time to write now...  Hope everyone had a great Easter!
