Hubby's Temple

Today we went to the Jing'an Temple.  Ok I know nothing about the Temple . . . probably should read up on that.  Basically it's a beautiful temple in the heart of Shanghai.  As we walked out of the subway station to the ground level, hubby was immediately accosted by a woman wanting to tell his fortune.  We shook that woman from our tail and walked up to the entrance of the temple.  These four women (probably about 50+ years old) started staring at us and then asking in disbelief "Are all these kids yours?"      Hubby says yes and one of the women gives him a strong thumb's up sign - again, like he is some stallion who breeds like fertilizer.  Then they all started asking more questions and two more women who overheard came over.  Soon all these women were surrounding hubby like he was a rock star.  Kid. You.  Not.  They stared at him like he was a prince!  I have decided to re-name the Jing'an Temple to hubby's name.  Personally that attention seemed odd to me so I started putting up my guard by trying to just avoid them and get into the temple.  Finally I was like, "Hey!  Let's go!"  As hubby walked away, one of the women said, "Your wife is not as nice as you."

Later we were inside a local department store preparing to leave and I tried to put a jacket on Eva who was already miserable from a cold.  Two women employees gawked at Eva who was wearing two shirts and two pants (layered) and disgustedly went off on a tangent about how under-dressed she was and how I could even let her out like that . . . how they had never seen a child with such little clothing on.  If I were in a cartoon you'd have seen the smoke puffs *shooting* out my ears.  I finally know why I love the kickboxing class I take each Friday....  I just have to learn to tune it out...or fight it out each Friday.

Will post some pics later . . .
