Sorority Rush...PTA Style

Went to my first PTA meeting at the school today.  In fact, I actually have a position on the board . . . uh, not sure what it is exactly but they did say I could work on their neglected website.  Anyway, it was about 15 women there (give or take) - mostly Asian (Chinese, Singaporean, Korean).  We went around introducing ourselves and ironically I happened to be the last person, based on where I was seated.  Just before I spoke, my evil/fun alter ego thought '(brooo-ha-ha!)  Wait till I tell them I have FOUR kids!  They'll practically make me PTA president!'  (Yes, shamefully I admit, I get my kicks now from people's reactions...I think I need a new hobby...).  So I said, "My name is ... and I have four kids ..."  I got the usual gasps and then, what I was not prepared for, they all applauded me.  Yup.  It was the kind of applause you give right after you witness an amazing magic trick.  I am fairly certain I turned beet red.

Wonder if I will get a standing O at the next meeting?  Maybe a plaque in the office hallway . . . a statue at the entrance of a building . . . :*)
