Hubby finally came home after a two wk stint in the States. I
know... don't ask why we are here and he is there for the second time
in a month. Anyway, we went out for lunch on Sunday. Eva had a ball eating
alfredo penne pasta. She had pasta all over her mouth! She's the
fourth kid... thus if she's happy eating, then we enjoy our food and
we don't care that she has alfredo sauce smeared all around her mouth
(you know, looking like she dipped her face in the bowl). However,
we've noticed that here in China, the waitstaff usually gives us extra
napkins or tells us when they see how messy Eva is. Not that they are
mad - more like how a new parent wipes down their kid's face if even a
drip falls from the child's mouth. Here, they give us the napkins and usually specify
that it's to wipe Eva's mouth with. Today, when we nearly finished our
meal, Sammy asked if I had wiped her face. Nope I hadn't. But miraculously
her face was all clean! So at some point, one of the
waitresses must've come and wiped her face and neither of us
noticed! Now that's service! (and you don't tip here!) Wonder if
they'd change her poopy diaper....
Below is a sign near the outdoor pond of the restaurant where the kids
fed the fish. It's just a bad sign all around . . .
fed the fish. It's just a bad sign all around . . .
This picture is of a man selling stuffed
animals...my minivan could've easily looked like that with our stuffed animals alone....
