Gucun Park

This past weekend we went to Gucun Park which is in Puxi ("Fort Worth") as the company Sammy works for had it's family day there.  Really nice park.  It is gigantic with many green grassy areas, bbq area, botanical, kids amusement park, etc.  Nicely maintained.  Stupidly I took Eva's sleeping blanket as I wanted her to take a nap during the day . . . she did . . . but we lost the blanket.  I neglected to tell the family to help me keep an eye on it and I did not put it away once she woke up.  Suffice it to say, it will be a very expensive mistake on my part and a hard lesson learned.  She cried for two days for that blankie and believe me, I wanted to too.

Before I show some pics, the company provided shirts for everyone in honor of family day.  Apparently there was a problem with the original fabric so they had to change it to a different one and a different color to boot.  Below is the new color . . . I'm thinking they got a good discount on it . . .

This is a bike you can rent to use to go around the park.  The place is huge.  You need it.  Why we thought it was fun, I don't know because you have to pedal.  Like the pub-crawl I did in Austin but no alcohol - aka 'not as fun'.  We also put the stroller on there so Eva could sleep while we toured.  Drew some attention there...

Last picture of the infamous green blankie . . . sniff, sniff!

You could rent a boat as well and all the children had to wear a life jacket.  Eva's - not very useful.

Maybe I'll use my shirt for breast cancer awareness month . . . Stephen's on the other hand will probably not see the light of day.
