stopped at the intersection, a grandmotherly woman was also there.
She looked at Eva, bent down a bit and said sweetly in Chinese "Are
you cold?". Aw c'mon?! I swear i can never dress her right! Nice
indirect jab lady! I replied nicely in Chinese that it was warm today
(56F).
Turns out the woman was also going to the same convenience store we
were stopping into. We couldn't shake the woman off our tail. Plus
she finished shopping when we did AND we ended up walking out
togethe!. She then says to me in a nice voice, "Next time you should
put more clothes on her." :(. I reminded her that today was warm.
She agreed it was warmer than previous days. She then asked if the
kid was mine or someone else's. Lovely...She pegged me as either an
incompetent ayi or a bad mother and she just wanted to clarify.
Said outfit is below...you be the judge. Underneath she was wearing 2
l/s shirts and a vest with fleece pants.
