Uh-oh. The hair loss has started. Exactly when the pharmacist (who knows the drugs) predicted it would - 2 weeks. So much sooner than I had expected but probably everyone says that. Chemo has been such a mind trip (as my friend describes it) in that I feel fine, feel great - so my mind is thinking 'there's no chemo in me'. Surely all my supplements and healthy eating are buffering it all? But the effects are still there. The signs of hair falling out and the insomnia are telling me that it's in my system and it's doing it's job - killing every fast-dividing cell - the bad and the good.
On a happier note, the kids and I have been keeping busy staying hot and sweaty indoors by playing Just Dance Wii. Specifically Just Dance 3, which I proudly have some 5 star records, and Just Dance 4 which is kicking my booty more than I like to admit. I'm sure the game must've changed it's remote sensitivity in version 4 . . . or maybe the dance moves are more 'real' and not just John Travolta style/Saturday Night Fever moves. :*(
We were in the mall a couple months ago, and the 2.5 year old doesn't really understand that the beds on display are display-only. She hops in for a quick rest...
