Ringing in the New Year

Well, the Taos rang in the new year with a "bang" for sure - we were hit with a 24-hour stomach bug. Hopefully not an indication of our health in the coming year and just a coincidence. We are now all bug free minus Ella who has a sinus infection. Kids are a little hesitant to eat much which is great for this mom who is getting a bit of a cooking break. Melissa's car is in for windshield replacement #2 (long story) and a leak in the roof (skylight). Unfortunately the scratched the glass in the process of trying to re-seat and seal it and the car has been in the shop for 2 days now, waiting delivery of a new glass from Dallas. However, it's just as well, since we needed the time to recover . . . although I'm a bit stir-crazy in the house. Can't wait for this year of the Dog to be over and perhaps end my car issues and start fresh. Well, here's to a better January and a better year!
